Troy was born and raised in Alaska.  He has been involved with alternative energy projects for most of his life and started his career at the young age of 10 designing and installing his family’s remote lake property power system.  He studied electronics at UAA and worked with various Alaska businesses doing alternative energy installations and assorted other electronic projects.  He has been the owner and operator of H&K Energy Solutions LLC for the past 15 years. Troy has travelled all over Alaska performing installations and repairs for off grid power systems on board boats, at hunting and fishing lodges, for commercial businesses, native villages, and private residential properties.

Besides being an off grid power systems guru, he is a qualified welder, heavy equipment operator, mechanic, and network remote monitoring engineer with a can do and will do attitude.  He can design, install, upgrade, and repair your power system no matter where you are located.

Troy enjoys fishing with his family on his dad’s boat and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
